My mom

I wanted to let everyone know that my mom got a fairly good report from the Dr yesterday! Her kidneys HAVE begun to shut down, but they caught it in the very early stages which is good. The damage that has been done cannot be repaired, but if she chooses, she can prevent any more damage from being done! Right now they are functioning at about 65%. 35% is when it gets bad. So that was somewhat encouraging. The issues are strictly due to diabetes & high blood pressure, so she has to get that under control & start exercising!! Pray that she will do it. I don't know if this has really motivated her or not. Thanks for all your prayers & thoughts. I praise God that it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.

On another note, Jeff has water-logged his cell phone! He forgot it in his pocket when we went to the creek the other day & it got soaked. It kind of works, but he can't hear anybody on it. It's very strange having a one way conversation :) Hopefully he will get his new phone today...it's amazing how dependent you become on those things!
