Ice Storm

Well, if you haven't seen it on the news yet, NWA has been hit HARD with this ice storm. Almost everyone in town is without electricity. Trees are down everywhere. Power lines are down everywhere - poles snapped like toothpicks...lines laying across the roads, houses, and yards. IT IS A MESS!!!!!! This town practically looks like a ghost town. Businesses are closed, banks are closed, streets are closed, traffic lights don't work. It's so weird. Our house has been without electricity for about 24 hours now, and the power companies say it could days or weeks to get everyone up and running again. Man, that's a crazy thought. My work is one of the few places with power, which is where I am now. We stayed w/ my parents last night b/c they have a wood burning stove in their living room, so at least we were able to keep warm. But oh my, did their house take a beating?!! It was soooooo scary to hear the trees cracking, breaking, and falling all around. PRAISE PRAISE PRAISE THE LORD WE ARE ALL OK!!! It's crazy.
