Indiana visit & missing grandma

Our Easter weekend was spent mourning the loss of Jeff's grandmother. She passed away suddenly from a heart attack just a few days before Easter. While we are of course devastated to loose grandma, we know that she is in a much better place now, and her health complications are finally over for her. That is a blessing. I hate that because of the geographical distance, I did not get to know her as well as I would have liked. But I can tell you that she was a true joy to know. She was always so uplifting to talk to - even when she wasn't feeling well! Her voice was always precious and encouraging. She loved her family and always made it a point to send everyone of us a birthday & Christmas card. I'm telling you, she never missed a year or a child/grandchild!!! I loved that about her. She was just the sweetest woman. We loved her so much and will miss her dearly.

Unfortunately, I don't have any digital pictures of grandma that I can post, but I did take a few family pics of the trip. Though the circumstances were tragic, it was really nice to be able to visit family that we haven't seen in years!! We did enjoy our time back in Indiana - even though it was utterly exhausting!

This is me & lil cousin Hannah. Jeff and I kinda became the child care for the weekend - thus, all the kid pics! We didn't mind though - we knew the parents had so much going on with funeral/visitation arrangements. We were happy to step in & help!!

No Jeff is not on drugs. Sleepy?? Yes! Drugs? No :) This is Zach...Zach was at Jeff's side the ENTIRE trip. He loved him so much - he even asked to sleep with us!!! It was so sweet, but we had to say no because our bed was pretty small & the days were too long to loose what few hours of sleep we got each night. But maybe next time Zach!

And this is little Mikey - Jeff's cousin

And Mikey's twin sisters Haley & Sabrina - they're identical and sooooo cute!!!! But here me say now, that "I no longer want twins!!!!!!!!" Whew, what a handful.

And Mikey's mom Tiffany & myself.

One night, Jeff's mom & I had the privilage of giving the twins & little Hannah a bath all at the same time. 3 two year olds in the tub at once - now that was crazy!!! I really love Jeff's family and I'm so glad we got to spend some time with them. It may be a while before we get back up north!
